When the nozzle mesh gets clogged, that side sounds quieter, and many people think the earphone is broken. Cleaning it is almost always enough. It takes five minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"kz-box kz-box--resumen\"><p class=\"kz-box__title\">In short<\/p><ul><li>The <strong>silicone ear tips<\/strong> are washed with water and mild soap and left to dry completely.<\/li><li>The <strong>mesh<\/strong> is cleaned dry, with a soft brush and the nozzle facing down.<\/li><li>The earpiece, the plug and the connectors <strong>must never get wet<\/strong>.<\/li><\/ul><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What you need<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A soft, lint-free cloth.<\/li>\n\n<li>A small soft-bristle brush. A clean, dry toothbrush will do.<\/li>\n\n<li>Lukewarm water and mild soap, only for the silicone ear tips.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step by step<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Remove the ear tips.<\/strong> Unplug the earphones and pull each ear tip off with a gentle twist.<\/li>\n\n<li><strong>Wash the silicone ones.<\/strong> With lukewarm water and mild soap. Rinse them and let them dry completely.<\/li>\n\n<li><strong>Clean the mesh dry.<\/strong> Run the brush over the nozzle while holding the earpiece with the mesh facing down, so the dirt falls out.<\/li>\n\n<li><strong>Wipe the shell.<\/strong> With the cloth, dry or barely damp.<\/li>\n\n<li><strong>Clean the cable.<\/strong> With the cloth, without wetting the plug or the 2-pin connectors.<\/li>\n\n<li><strong>Put everything back.<\/strong> When everything is dry, push each ear tip all the way onto the nozzle.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Foam ear tips are a separate case<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Foam is not washed like silicone: do not soak it or use soap. Wipe it with a dry or barely damp cloth. It wears out with use, which is why it is sold in packs of several pairs. Replace it when it stops recovering its shape, tears or no longer seals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What not to do<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Put the earphones in water or hold them under the tap.<\/li>\n\n<li>Use abrasive products or solvents.<\/li>\n\n<li>Poke at the mesh with pins or sharp objects: they push the dirt further in and can damage it.<\/li>\n\n<li>Blow compressed air at the mesh.<\/li>\n\n<li>Store them with the ear tips still damp.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How often<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It depends on use. As a guide: a quick wipe with the cloth when you put them away, and a full clean every week or two if you use them daily.
