KZ M2: dual microphone cable for KZ earphones

The KZ M2 is an upgrade cable for KZ earphones with two microphones on the in-line control. It is designed for gaming, calls and video calls with your in-ears.

You can choose it with a USB-C plug, which adds a three-mode EQ, or with a 3.5 mm jack plug. The cable is silver-plated oxygen-free copper, 1.25 m long, with a detachable 0.75 mm 2-pin connector.

Dual microphone and, on USB-C, three sound modes

It has two omnidirectional condenser microphones, one on the front and one on the back of the control, to pick up your voice from any angle.

On the USB-C version, the control switches between three EQ modes, each with its own light colour: standard (magenta), bass (blue) and high resolution (green). The button pauses music, skips tracks and answers or declines calls.

Which KZ earphones is it compatible with?

It fits KZ earphones with a detachable cable and a C-pin 2-pin connector, which covers most current models. It does not fit B-pin models such as the KZ ZST, KZ ZST X, KZ EDX and KZ EDC Pro.

What is the difference between the USB-C and the 3.5 mm versions?

The USB-C version has the DAC chip and the three-mode EQ, and connects to devices with a USB-C port. The 3.5 mm version plugs into any headphone output and has no EQ. Both have a dual microphone.

Does it work with a console or a computer?

KZ states that the USB-C plug works with phones, tablets, laptops, TVs and consoles that have a USB-C port. The 3.5 mm version works with any device that has a headphone output.
