KZ ZS10 Pro, ZS10 Pro X and ZS10 Pro 2: how they differ

Reviewed 6 Oct 2026 · Data from KZ’s official spec sheetsFor: Listening to music Playing live and rehearsing

The ZS10 family is one of KZ's best known, and three versions sit side by side today: the KZ ZS10 Pro, KZ ZS10 Pro X and KZ ZS10 Pro 2. All three are hybrids with five drivers per side (ten in total), but they are not the same earphone under different names. Here is what changes from one to the next.

In short

  • ZS10 Pro: the original and the cheapest of the three.
  • ZS10 Pro X: same driver count, with new armatures (50024S) in place of the original's two pairs.
  • ZS10 Pro 2: the only one with switches to adjust bass and treble.

ZS10 Pro: the original

The ZS10 Pro combines a 10 mm dynamic driver with four balanced armatures per side: two 30095 for the treble and two 50060 for the mids. It is the model that made the family famous and is still the cheapest way into a five-driver hybrid.

ZS10 Pro X: new armatures

The Pro X keeps the 1 dynamic + 4 armature layout but changes the armatures: it replaces the original's two pairs with four 50024S units. According to KZ, the change aims to improve treble response and speed. The faceplate is metal alloy and the body is resin.

ZS10 Pro 2: with sound tuning

The Pro 2 is the only one of the three with switches. According to KZ: switch 1 raises the bass one level; 1 and 2, two levels; 1, 2 and 3, three levels; and 4 lowers the treble one level. With all off, it plays with the base tuning. It uses dual 31736 armatures.

Do they need an amplifier?

No. All three are between 25 and 30 Ω and above 108 dB sensitivity, so they work well with a phone or laptop.
