All wired KZ earphones use a detachable 0.75 mm 2-pin connector. But that connector comes in two shapes, Pin B and Pin C, and they are not simply interchangeable. If you are buying a replacement cable or a Bluetooth adapter, you need to know which one yours uses.
In short
- Pin C: the connector sticks out from the earphone and the cable covers it with a hood. Almost all current KZ models use it.
- Pin B: the connector sits flush with the earphone and the cable ends flat. Older models use it: EDX, EDC Pro and ZST.
- The pin size is the same (0.75 mm); what changes is the shape of the fit.
How to tell them apart at a glance
- Look at the earphone without the cable. If the area with the two holes sticks out like a small rectangular block, it is Pin C. If the holes are on a flat surface, it is Pin B.
- Look at the end of the cable. If it has a plastic sleeve that wraps around the earphone's connector, it is Pin C. If it ends in a flat block with the two pins exposed, it is Pin B.

What if I pick the wrong version?
A Pin C cable or adapter does not fit a Pin B earphone properly: the hood has nothing to rest on and the connector is left exposed and loose. Much the same happens the other way round. If you ordered the wrong version, you have 30 days to return it.

Is Pin C the same as QDC?
It is the same type of hooded fit. KZ calls it Pin C.
Are the pins 0.75 or 0.78 mm?
KZ uses 0.75 mm on all its models.
Can I use a cable from another brand?
Yes, if it is 0.75 mm 2-pin and the same type (B or C) as your earphone.
